IMM wins a mega contract in Algeria
Sonelgaz, the Algerian public electricity operator has choosen IMM for the realization of nine power stations in the great south of the country.
Awarded as the result of an international tender process, this contract worth more than 83 million euros consists of the study, supply and installation of 34 engines and all auxiliaries for a total installed capacity of 65 MW ISO.
The nine sites concerned are located in the south-west and the extreme south of the country.
These installations are intended for continuous base operation. IMM therefore placed a particular emphasis on the reliability and the robustness allowing the optimal exploitation of these equipments in the very severe climatic conditions of these locations.
Start of production of these power plants is planned for spring 2015, following a very tight 10 months planning.
This important contract is a continuation of a fruitful collaboration of more than 20 years between IMM and the Sonelgaz group.
